Tailored corporate wellness from Fitness Belfast

As a personal trainer of 10 years, and passionate yoga teacher, it has never been more clear to me how beneficial regular exercise, yoga and meditation can be for mental and physical health. 

That's why I am extremely excited when like minded companies, charities or even BBC Radio Ulster's Nolan Show, get in touch. We work together on creating taster sessions and programmes that will work for them - my Kickstart Yoga & Kickstart Fit programmes are great places to start, but I've also worked on Sports Days, Events, and more, to create inclusive workforce communities that will thrive in the modern working environment.

8 Week Kickstart Yoga

Kickstart Yoga is a progressive 8 week, 60 minute, beginners styled yoga practice combining yoga, meditation and mobility training in a fun and mellow environment:

These sessions are designed to: 

  • Decrease stress and increase mental well being within the workplace

  • Improve workforce camaraderie and sense of community

  • Increase postural awareness, strength and mobility

  • Meet fellow employees

  • Build resistance to physical and mental fatigue

  • Highlight importance of “Taking 5 Minutes” during working day to improve productivity through better work rest balance

The level of physical ability in the class was quite limited (through medical conditions, age or injury) but everyone was able to engage with the class and leave with a huge sense of achievement and wellbeing.
The feedback from the people who attended was fantastic, and we are currently working with Gary to try and establish a more regular class that will help people increase levels of activity and fitness promoting and improving their wellbeing.

8 Week Kickstart Fit

Kickstart Fit is a progressive 8 week, 60 minute, beginner style bodyweight exercise programme. It provides a hugely supportive and motivational foundation for those in the workforce who may be nervous about commencing a new active lifestyle or may be overwhelmed with where to start.

These sessions are designed to:

  • Decrease stress and increase mental well being within the workplace

  • Improve weight management skills

  • Hilight importance of regular exercise on mental health.

  • Increase postural awareness, strength and mobility

  • Increase aerobic fitness

  • Highlight importance of “Taking 5” to improve productivity through better work rest balance.

  • Motivate workforce

A focus on employee health and wellbeing is at the forefront of what FinTrU offers to our team, and an important part of why we were recently awarded ‘Best Company to Work For’ at the Belfast Business Awards 2018, as Gary’s work has been a key part of our TrU Wellness strategy since the start of the year.
