Raising AWARE-ness for World Suicide Prevention Day with Belfast's Mood Walk 2019
THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN TO ALL THE AMAZING MOOD WALKERS WHO TOOK TIME OUT OF THEIR SUNDAYS TO JOIN AWARE NI ON THEIR BELFAST MOOD WALK 2019!
I’ve lost track a bit, but this was at least the 4th Aware NI Mood Walk i’ve taken part in, rallying the troops and kicking things off at beautiful & sunny Stormont.
Big congrats to all the walkers – parents, children, toddlers, dogs and more - who got out of bed on a Sunday morning to raise awareness of World Suicide Prevention Day, and the incredible work that Aware do here in NI to help defeat depression.
Well done everyone! 😊
Over the last few years, there’s definitely been a bigger than ever demand for Corporate Wellness, Wellness at Work, Initiatives, One-Offs, Programmes, Tasters.
And I’ve been lucky enough to witness the benefits first hand through my work with great companies and charities around Belfast.
I feel super privileged to have helped the good folk, & some awesome businesses of Belfast use a combination of exercise & yoga to thrive during Mental Health Awareness Week.
So I was thrilled when Catalyst got in touch with me to help them with their mission & provide health & wellbeing classes to their tenants at the Innovation Centre in the Titanic Quarter, Belfast.
FinTrU’s “Truly Febulous” wellness initiative encouraged staff to submit video or photographic evidence of their attempts at stepping outside their comfort zones, and getting moving as part of a group - generally being “Febulous”!
If you happened to pass by the Clayton Hotel Belfast on Monday, you’re eyes weren’t deceiving you - those cyclists were not the normal city centre bikers!
Put your controller or computer away for a few minutes – that email can wait & Dr Robotnik will still be there when you come back to your mega drive.
Thank you so very much to all the amazing mood walkers who took time out of their Sundays to join Aware NI on their various mood walks across NI today.
The average person sits for 9 hours a day! Could two minutes of yoga be the answer?
