Ahh here it goes - 5 simple steps to building the best meat free burger

Burgers generally get a bad rap, even the word conjures up images in my mind of all too sloppy and super unhealthy fast food or even the disguising fall apart versions offered up by legendary 90s Comedy duo Kenan and Kel in the movie Good Burger, but it doesnโ€™t have to be like that.

The following is a hopefully simple, step-by-step guide to building the best, perfectly healthy, meat free burger, as an alternative to the obvious or as a stable of a meat free lifestyle.

#AvocadOMG 5 simple ways an Avocado can bring joy to your meal

I've heard it said that avocados to a vegetarian or vegan are like bacon to a meat eater & while I cannot confirm the effect of bacon on my daily mood, I can assure you that avocados brighten up my day as much as anyone I have ever seen load up on bacon sarnies.

Their creamy texture, versatility, & simplicity really do bring joy as an accompaniment to any of my meals and are a stable fat source for me year round.

Asparagus ideas? Try a grilled chilli asparagus & avocado salad

Asparagus ideas? Try a grilled chilli asparagus & avocado salad

1. Preheat oven to a medium/high heat (200degrees)
2. Place asparagus in a sealable container. Add olive oil, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, & chilli flakes and shake it all up.
3. Pour it all out onto a oven tray and grill for about 10 minutes.
5. Add to a simple salad consisting of sliced avocado, vine tomato, spinach & cashews.

The nutritional yeast gives the asparagus a slightly cheesy flavour & the chilli obviously provides a little kick which make this an excellent side salad or starter option - delicious!
